Super Rugby to make earliest start to season in 2020

Super Rugby will make its earliest start to a season in the history of the competition using the first match.
Auckland Blues will sponsor the Waikato Chiefs on January 31 and the 21-week tournament will operate uninterrupted till July, when the new Evaluation window begins.
In previous non-World Cup decades, the hemisphere competition took a three-week fracture before resuming in early July to accommodate an window June.
„An sooner than usual start was required to make it through the 21-week championship and provide the national teams with a transparent week leading into the July evaluation collection,“ said Andy Marinos, the principal executive of regulating body SANZAAR.
The 2020 Super Rugby season are also the year for the Sunwolves of Japan after them cut after the decision to take their support of the group of the Japan Rugby Union.
It will also be the year of this conference system, with a format.
When they face Waratahs champions Crusaders will begin their bid for a fourth consecutive title on February 1.
