FanDuel NHL DFS Picks – October 11th

Last nights FanDuel NHL DFS picks made us deep into gain territory on a 11-game slate that is enormous and were exceptional.
A Winnipeg Jets pile that went lower possessed than Id anticipated headed the night. Mark Scheifele, Patrik Laine and Blake Wheeler were all owned at 5 percent or under my GPPs with Laine and Wheeler both at 3.6% owned. I take that in addition to the monster production they put forth. Laine led the way with a large nighttime, shooting four shots on goal, including two assists, scoring two goals and blocking one too. Wheeler was next up with a goal, an assist, two shots plus also a block. Ultimately, Scheifele notched two assists, two blocks and a shot on goal. Manufacturing from this trio.
Our three-man Blackhawks pile did well at small ownership. Dylan Strome a goal and an assist Erik Gustafsson, on two shots captured two blocks and an assist while Alex DeBrincat registered an assist and a shot on goal. Strong production here also.
Our cheap Blues mini-stack didnt get onto the scoresheet despite the Blues scoring six goals against the Senators. When they did, then we might have taken some GPPs down. They werent complete duds as Robby Fabbri recorded three shots while Vince Dunn was solid in tallying four shots to go along with a pair of blocks.
Ultimately, Connor Hellebuyck was very good from the Jets crease, turning aside 38 of 40 Minnesota Wild shots en route to a 5-2 win — his second game in the win column.
Let us take last nights success and search for more about tonights slate that is smaller!
C — Jack Eichel (BUF) — $8,400 vs. FLA
YesEichel will see loads of ownership in this one, but I have enough GPP differentiation we could use him and that lineup is much far more of the optimal lineup instead of strictly GPP or cash. Besides that guy is going right now I am not sure we would like to risk the fade because he torched the Montreal Canadiens. In that game, Eichel added two assists having a whopping eight shots and scored two goals. That gives him three goals and four helpers for seven points on 12 shots on his final three games. In reality, all seven of the points this season have come so I dont see why we must expect that to stop tonight. The hope in Florida was that Joel Quenneville combined with highly-paid goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky would considerably improve the groups 28th-ranked defense against a season ago, but that hasnt been the situation as the Panthers have allowed 4.67 goals per game this season through three matches, or 14 goals allowed in 3 matches. Bobrovsky sits with a 4.77 GAA and .859 Sv% in three starts on the year. There isnt a participant on this slate which could give the same flooring that Eichel can provide with his gigantic shot totals, so I am locking him in tonight.
C — Boone Jenner (CBJ) — $4,400 vs. ANHs
Anaheim Ducks and the Columbus Blue Jackets get tonight as a couple. The Jackets have scored seven goals in 3 games this season — or even 2.33 goals per game — nevertheless they could get a boost in this one as backup Ryan Miller is expected to get the start tonight after John Gibson started last nights 2-1 loss in Pittsburgh. Gibson has launched all four of these Ducks matches to this point so search for Miller to get into this game and I believe that opens a door for the Blue Jackets offense in this one. Miller is coming off a season in which he published a decent 2.76 GAA and .912 Sv% over 17 starts and 20 appearances. However, at 39 years old, you simply have to wonder just how much he has left in the tank following some enormous usage earlier in his career with the Buffalo Sabres. I will go with a pile in this particular one, starting here with Jenner. The pivot is centering the third line right now of the team, and he is not getting much concerning power play time. However, despite hitting the scoresheet Jenner has captured 11 shots in 3 games and has scored at least 16 targets in a couple of the past few seasons. Hes going to get about with how far he shoots the puck and also I believe there is value that is nice on him tonight.
W — Sam Reinhart (BUF) — $6,200 vs. FLA
The Sabres top lineup is doing a lot of harm right now for example youngster Victor Olofsson, but I am going to go with Reinhart here since his hot start has dropped off the picture a bit despite setting two goals and five points on nine shots across four games to this point. As hes notched between 22 and 25 goals in 3 of the four seasons hes a for the Sabres. That said, he had a significant season when he published a career-high, definitely, 65 points in 82 games. The Sabres arent very deep at the forward spot, and Reinharts line is being leaned on heavily as he has averaged a whopping 20:35 of ice time so much — a large amount for a winger. Hell enter this one having a point in each game this year while the two his goals came from the Sabres blowout win over New Jersey at home last Saturday. Reinhart is a successful and reliable point-producer on this Sabres crime and considering what hes up against in one of the worst defensive teams in the league for this stage in the young season, I can see another big night at the horizon for its still-23-year-old.
W — Emil Bemstrom (CBJ) — $3,000 vs. ANH
Here is the point where the genuine GPP distinction comes from as Bemstrom lines up along with Jenner about the Blue Jackets next lineup for this particular matchup tonight against the visiting Ducks. Bemstrom logged just over two minutes from his NHL debut a week ago against the Maple Leafs and then logged over 10 minutes in his next match on Saturday against the Penguins. However, the ice time of Bemstrom jumped over two minutes to. Furthermorehe notched his first career NHL points because individual. He has averaged just 49 seconds of power play time in his three NHL games on this point, however if he could continue to make John Tortorellas hope, there could be a opportunity on a poor Blue Jackets power play to your 20-year-old who posted 23 goals and 35 points in 47 games like a 19-year-old in Swedens top professional league last season. Given Columbus woes, theres an opportunity for Bemstrom to maximize his character if he could continue to make. For instance, I will search for him Jenner to team up for some low-owned generation on this Blue Jackets next line.
W — Jakob Silfverberg (ANH) — $6,200 vs. CBJ
The Ducks are just another team struggling to score at the present time, however they also receive a great chance to get things sorted out against what has been a struggling goaltender to the beginning the season and a team that has allowed 4.67 goals per match to begin the season, or even 14 goals contrary to that time. Following Bobrovsky departed at no agency, GM Jarmo Kekalainen decided against updating his goaltending situation, instead handing the keys into five-season copy Joonas Korpisalo whos still only 25 years old. The issue is Korpisalo has posted a GAA of 2.88 or more worse in each of the last four seasons and a rescue percentage of simply .897 in each of the previous two. In two starts this season, Korpisalo has enabled seven goals, great to get a 3.45 GAA and .851 Sv%. He had the upside, however he underperformed for quite some time and is getting shelled this season. Input Silfverberg whos coming from a 24-goal year with what is a bad Ducks offense last season. He is off to a fine start again now round with a goal and an assist on nine shots across four games. Hes skating on the second line and top power play unit and Ill look for him to return on the scoresheet at a positive road matchup tonight.
W — Rickard Rakell (ANH) — $6,000 vs. CBJ
Rakell burst for 33 goals at the 2016-17 year and followed that up with 34 more along with a career-high 69 points the next season, but he reverted to just 18 goals and 43 points while lacking a few time . In his best, Rakell truly is a 30-goal scorer who will quickly eclipse the 200-shot obstruction (he had a career-high 230 in 2017-18), but hell need some help from the baseball gods because his shooting percentage fell to only 9.3% last season, well below his 12.6% livelihood mark. Rakell is once again placing lots of pucks on goal this year with 16 shots around four matches. However, with just 1 goal to reveal it, he sits with a little 6.3percent shooting percentage, one that is going to increase appreciably moving ahead. Let us look for this to being tonight contrary to this particular Blue Jackets club. After all, Rakell fired the Penguins a eight shots on goal, but obviously went unrewarded for his effort. It is safe to say that in case the Swede can approach that mark tonight, Rakell should have his second aim of the seaso, at least. I am enjoying the upside he brings to the table in this one tonight.
D — Rasmus Dahlin (BUF) — $6,300 vs. FLA
I am finishing this lineup by a standpoint that is skaters with a couple of defensemen that are probably high-owned , beginning here with Dahlin. It didnt take him over one time to shoot over the fantasy defenseman to utilize with this Buffalo team as hes the only defenseman in the Sabres top power play unit now, supplanting Rasmus Ristolainen while forming a three-man power play pile with Eichel and Reinhart. Right off Im a fan of this because the Panthers have murdered just 71.4percent of the penalties up to now, going 5 for 7 in the process. Meanwhile, the Sabres power play was turned off to a white-hot beginning as theyve gone a whopping 8 for 15 (53.3%) to the man advantage for this stage in the season, good for second in the NHL supporting the New York Rangers who have played just two games and are 3 for 5 on the man advantage. Because he has just one goal and seven points across four matches, albeit with just five shots and two blocks dahlin is off to a start this year. He is averaging only 18:36 of ice time per game but Dahlin is currently doing harm on the power play coming to the man advantage. Expect the same in the Swede that is smooth-skating tonight.
D — Seth Jones (CBJ) — $5,600 vs. ANH
I am completing the skater portion of my lineup together with Jones who should see loads of possession tonight, no matter how the man is logging a ton of ice time and is an absolute monster on the rear end. I thought of using Zach Werenski in this spot as he might potentially form another device power-play mini-stack with Bemstrom if he were to get on such a unit, yet with all the astronomically killing penalties at around 92% in the first going Im just concerned about strength play behalf of those Blue Jackets tonight and Jones is skating approximately four minutes per match than Werenski. He has just one assist in three games, but in addition nine shots on goal and seven blocks throughout just one second beneath the 25:49 he dropped for all of last year. In other words, dont expect much of a drop in use for your 25-year-old moving ahead. Jones regressed a bit to 46 points and nine goals last season and 57 points on 249 shots in 2017-18 expect him to likely fall somewhere in the middle this year. It doesnt hurt that hes the only defenseman on the top power play unit, but I am more eager to see what he can perform on the ice whereas still with Bemstrom and Jenner at strength tonight.
G — Thomas Greiss (NYI) — $8,100 vs. CAR
Thomas Greiss should get the start tonight in Carolina after Semyon Varlamov started the matches of the season, establishing an early 50/50 routine in goal. Moreover, Greiss really had to ease Varlamov in the Islanders 5-2 loss to the Oilers since Varlamov was shelled in that one anticipate Greiss between the pipes tonight. The netminder was brilliant in his start this year — a 4-1 win over the Jets. He stands to hold the Jets in a game this year and turned away 35 of 36 Winnipeg shots. Add this up and Greiss owns a 1.32 GAA and .955 Sv% on the young season — a continuation of what was a brilliant season a year past. Even with Robin Lehner getting the majority of the notoriety, Greiss was excellent in posting a 2.28 GAA and .927 Sv% over 39 starts and 43 appearances in 2018-19. He had five shutout to his title. This is a GPP look thinking of the Islanders are big +150 underdogs. However, given his early effort this season and his work all last time, I dont see why Greiss steal one on the street because of his club and cant enter Raleigh.
