The Philadelphia Phillies are back home after a tough weekend against the San Francisco Giants around the west shore. The Phillies dropped three of four games. Bryce Harper had pleasure telling fans to become silent after a clutch home run in their single win, however three of four losses would be not anything to get excited about. And that has been the problem with Bryce this season, he could appear and knock in a clutch hit after a month.
That isn’t enough to get a man getting his pay. We’re entering clutch season, so hopefully for the Phillies, the very best is yet to include Harper. Like I have said before, when he catches fire and contributes the Phillies to a deep postseason run, all will soon be forgotten due to his earlier conflicts.
If Harper had been playing well all season, the Phillies will probably threatening that the Braves right now. I’d require ten hands to count the number of times he’s had a chance to break up a match open and he falls short. Pitching wins games in the postseason. The Cubs got some positive news on Sunday together with the attempt by Jon Lester. He showed up and pitched a decent game to escape a funk. Lester was struggling mightily and that might be a step in the right direction for him. He was able to best ace Luis Castillo and lead the Cubs to a 6-3 triumph.
