Bristol City 1-0 Reading: Famara Diedhiou hits winner at Ashton Gate

Famara Diedhiou was Bristol Citys match-winner at a 1-0 Sky Bet Championship triumph against studying in Ashton Gate.
The only goal came on 12 minutes after Niclas Eliassons cross from the right found the striker unmarked to head home from eight metres.
Victory extended Citys unbeaten run but a Reading side unfortunate to not take a stage on the balance of play pushed them all of the way.
City created a start and before the target of Diedhiou Callum ODowda got on the left behind the Reading defence and crossed for Andreas Weimann to head over.
But Reading reacted well to falling behind. In the 20th minute that the Ovie Ejaria needed a shot blocked and fired just wide from the rebound.
Goalkeeper Dan Bentley, who distribute himself to rescue one-on-one City were caught out by a long ball forward to Yakou Meite and rescued five minutes later.
Diedhiou had a shot deflected for a corner, but Reading looked equally dangerous and Ejaria taken from the border of their box.

Reading should have equalised on 56 minutes when Ejaria made a great low cross only for Puscas dont convert from six meters and to receive his feet and right burst into the penalty area on the left.

Reading looked hazardous and Lee Johnson made a double shift sending on Jack Hunt and Antoine Semenyo for both Eliasson and Diedhiou.

Because City defender Ashley Williams poked the ball just wide of his own net A throw in the abandoned almost brought an equaliser. Bentleys failure to assert a cross scramble by which City about escaped.
At a frantic finish, Bentley saved brilliantly from City substitute and Boyes low shot when he should have scored, Kasey Palmer finished weakly.
