Maryland vs. Rutgers NCAAF Pick – Week 6

The Maryland Terrapins will look to bounce back after a performance at Week 5 against the Penn State Nittany Lions.

A rating of 59-0 smacked them in what had been a no doubter for Penn State. That was supposed to be a statement game for Maryland. A game to prove that the Terrapins belong in the Big Ten and can hang with the big boys of this conference.
It didnt happen, not in the least. Till they werent moving penn State bludgeoned Maryland. Maryland were losers the week prior too, with a 20-17 loss against the Temple Owls. The thought there was that Maryland got caught looking ahead. Given the results a week, Maryland thought about some thing but it sure wasnt football.
This turn has been sudden. This dip happened immediately after a win over the Syracuse Orange. Josh Jackson, who handed 3 touchdowns against Syracuse, was held to two interceptions and 65 yards . The Terrapins will look to find out the pieces in New Jersey at Rutgers University. Rutgers hope to secure their second win of this season in this one.
Rutgers have just one win to show for their efforts. That was contrary to a dumpster fire app. The Knights are coming off a blowout loss of 52-0 in Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. They have dropped by a rating of 82-0 in 2019 against Big Ten foes.
Their additional Big Ten matchup proved to be a loss from the Iowa Hawkeyes. Speaking of groups that do not belong into the Big Ten. Rutgers see another seminar willing to take them on and must take their ball. The AAC are a better match for the Scarlet Knights that are confused and lost. Texas Tech transport, McLane Carter, was named the starting quarterback in Week 1 to take on UMass. He led Rutgers to a 48-21 win and it looked as though they had a quarterback running the show. That was short lived after Carter suffered a concussion from Iowa a week.
Rutgers have been forced to go back to their starting QB Artur Sitkowski, from last year. If you followed Rutgers whatsoever, you are aware of how bad Sitkowski was. He had been the worst full time starting quarterback at the FBS, having chucked 4 touchdowns plus a whopping 18 interceptions on just 49.1% completions.
Sitkowski will be back at the saddle against Maryland in Week 6. Carter has not been cleared to go back to play with, so Sitkowski is going to be called on . Its gone easier at 2019 for Sitkowski far but that is not saying much. Sitkowski has thrown a touchdown with 2 interceptions on 64.7% completions. So that is something to build up for him his completion percentage is up greatly. Throwing more interceptions is obviously something he must get under control.
Josh Jackson, former Virginia Tech QB, has been great for Maryland this season with 8 touchdowns and 4 interceptions with yards. As he showcased his ability as a QB jackson placed on a display for the Hokies a few seasons back. He handed for 20 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, while running 324 yards and 6 scores around the ground. Jackson was off against Penn State, but look for him to get back on track in style against Rutgers.
The Knights input 91st from the country with 414 yards. They have been getting torched around the floor with nearly 200 yards surrendered a match. The Terrapins also have accumulated 223 rushing yards per game and also are capable of running the ball.
Look to assert themselves on the floor and take the match over. This looks like a fantastic spot for freshman Anthony McFarland Jr. to go off for large amounts. Maryland have this one at least two touchdowns to win and cover the spread.
