Maryland vs. Rutgers NCAAF Pick – Week 6

The Maryland Terrapins will Appear to bounce back after a performance against the Penn State Nittany Lions in Week 5.

In what was a no doubter for Penn State, they had been smacked by a rating of 59-0. This was likely to be a statement game for Maryland. A match to show that the Terrapins belong at the Big Ten and can hang with the big boys of the conference.
It did not happen, not whatsoever. Till they werent moving any 11, penn State bludgeoned Maryland. Maryland were losers per week ahead as well, with a loss against the Temple Owls. The thought there was that Maryland got caught looking forward. Given the results a week, Maryland were thinking about something but it wasnt football.
This turn was surprising. This dip happened following a win on the Syracuse Orange. Josh Jackson, who passed for 3 touchdowns from Syracuse, was held to two interceptions and 65 yards against Penn State. The Terrapins will look to find out the pieces at New Jersey at Rutgers University. Rutgers hope to secure their second win of this year in this one.
Rutgers have only one win to show for their efforts. This was against a fellow dumpster fire app, the UMass Minuteman. The Knights are coming off a loss of 52-0 in Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. Theyve lost by a score of 82-0 against Big Ten foes in 2019.
Their Big Ten matchup was a loss from the Iowa Hawkeyes. Speaking. Rutgers go find another conference ready to take them and must take their ball. The AAC would be a much better fit for the confused and lost Knights. Head below for our free Maryland vs. Rutgers select.
Betting odds provided by
McLane Carter, texas Tech transport, has been named the starting quarterback in Week 1 to take on UMass. He led Rutgers and it looked as if they had a quarterback running the show. That was short lived a week 14, after Carter suffered a concussion.
Rutgers have been made to return to their starting QB from past year, Artur Sitkowski. If you followed Rutgers at all, you are conscious of how bad Sitkowski was. He was the worst full time starting quarterback at the FBS, having chucked 4 touchdowns and a whopping 18 interceptions on just 49.1percent completions.
Sitkowski will probably be back at the saddle against Maryland in Week 6. Carter hasnt yet been cleared to go back to play, so Sitkowski will probably soon be called on again. It has gone in 2019 for Sitkowski far but that is not saying much. Sitkowski has thrown a touchdown with 2 interceptions on 64.7% completions. So that is something to build on for him, his completion percentage is up greatly. Throwing more interceptions than touchdowns is always something that he needs to get under control, however.
Former Virginia Tech QB, Josh Jackson, was good for Maryland this year with 8 touchdowns and 4 interceptions with 789 yards. Since he showcased his own skill jackson put on a display for the Hokies a couple of seasons ago. He passed for 20 touchdowns and 9 interceptionsand 6 scores onto the ground. Jackson was away against Penn State, but look for him to get back on course in dominant fashion against Rutgers.
The Scarlet Knights enter 91st from the country using 414 yards allowed per game. They have been getting torched with almost 200 yards surrendered a match, normally on the floor. The Terrapins are capable of running the ball and have accumulated 223 rushing yards per game for 25th at the FBS.
Start looking to maintain themselves and take over the game. This looks like a good place for freshman Anthony McFarland Jr. to go off for big numbers. Cover and maryland have this one to win the spread.
