In what had been a no doubter for Penn State, a rating of 59-0 smacked them. This was supposed to be a statement game for Maryland. A match to show that the Terrapins will hang with the big boys of the conference and belong in the Big Ten.
It didnt happen, not in the least. Penn State bludgeoned Maryland till they werent moving . Maryland were losers the week prior using a loss from the Temple Owls. The thought there was that Maryland got caught looking forward. Considering that the results last week, Maryland were thinking about something but it wasnt football.
This turn has been sudden for Maryland. This dive happened immediately following a 63-20 win over the Syracuse Orange. Was held to 2 interceptions and 65 yards . Texas Tech transfer, McLane Carter, is named the starting quarterback in Week 1 to carry on UMass. He led Rutgers to a 48-21 win and it eventually looked like they had a quarterback. That was short lived following Carter suffered a concussion from Iowa a week afterwards.
Rutgers have been forced to go back to their starting QB from past season, Artur Sitkowski. You are well aware of how bad Sitkowski was, In case you followed Rutgers at all. He had been the worst fulltime starting quarterback at the FBS, with thrown 4 touchdowns and a whopping 18 interceptions on just 49.1percent completions.
Sitkowski will probably be back at the saddle from Maryland at Week 6. Carter hasnt been cleared to return to play with, therefore Sitkowski will probably soon be called on again. Its gone at 2019 for Sitkowski thus much but that isnt saying much. Sitkowski has thrown a touchdown with two interceptions on 64.7percent completions. So that is something his completion percentage is up much. Throwing interceptions is always something that he must get under control.
Josh Jackson, former Virginia Tech QB, was good for Maryland this season with 8 touchdowns and 4 interceptions with metres death. As he showcased his ability jackson put on a nice show for the Hokies a couple of seasons back. He handed 20 touchdowns and 9 interceptionsand 6 scores over the floor. Jackson was off against Penn State, but look for him to get right back on course in dominant style against Rutgers.
The Scarlet Knights enter 91st from the nation with 414 yards allowed per game. Theyve been getting torched around the floor with almost 200 yards surrendered a game. The Terrapins also have accumulated 223 rushing yards per game and are capable of running the ball.
