This weekend, we’ve got an 11-fight card in Greenville, South Carolina. DraftKings has some decent contests for us to win a great deal of money from this week. The main GPP is a $15 buy and $25k belongs to 1st place with a total of $120k being paid out. In addition they possess a Qualifier only competition for $175,000. There will be 100 qualifiers for that contest and they’ll compete for a $50k first location price and $175k will probably be distributed between all 100 admissions that match. I will attempt to receive my 3rd seat this week to maximum it if I could. Those Qualifier only competitions can be actual bankroll suckers, so be cautious chasing those too hard. I will probably stick to the very best GPP this week and then throw a small number of entries at the $30k prize, then I will probably have a couple shots at the Q. I will also be posting H2Hs as well as picking up H2Hs through the week to get a fantastic amount of drama into cash games.
With that said, let’s get into a few plays I like this week along with my fade of this week:
Cash Game play of the week — Main Event STACK — Renato Moicano and Chan Sung Jung
For me, this is a simple stack in cash week. I think we easily have a floor of 100 using Renato Moicano and The Korean Zombie with upside of ~150. Additionally, it assures us the winner. As I have mentioned several times previously, we do not need 6 wins in cash games, so play with those type of games all you have to do is conquer half the field. Normally 4 wins or 400+ points is great enough to money in most cash games. Even if you have a strong lean on this fight I still recommend stacking.
GPP drama of the week — Jairzinho Rozenstruik — $9,000
Rozenstruik gets the highest ITD lineup on the card in -140 and he can easily hit 100+ DK points by obtaining that in round 1. The worry here would be him being on his back in round 1 and then scoring zero points through that and then going out and getting a KO in round 2. Or no KO in any way. Either of those would take him away the optimal lineup so we need this struggle to stay standing and ideally an early KO. I think that’s very possible and he’ll be a core GPP drama of mine this week. He isn’t the greatest money game play however because he could be put on his back and be stuck there and perhaps even lose the fight that way. I am OK with him cash, but I won’t be making that a priority like I will being overweight in GPPs.
Underdog drama of the week — Anderson Dos Santos — $7,900
This betting line is about pickem‘ with a slight lean towards Dos Santos. However, Ewell is your favorite on DraftKings and is $400 more than ADS. Ewell is likewise the striker so that he to score tremendously he is likely going to want a complete finish. His weakness is Anderson Dos Santos‘ strength however. Ewell has a hard time staying off his back and if ADS can put him he could submit him. Or he could rack up numerous takedowns to get a high decision score. I enjoy the value we’re getting on him at $7.9k and that I like he should be seeking to grapple in this fight. That’s why I had to pick him as my dog of this week.
Fade of this week — Syuri Kondo $8,000
There aren’t any real simple fades this week. I really do have a complete fade on Kondo however because she looks to be only a striker and I think Ashely Yoder’s greatest path to success is through grappling. If Kondo isn’t at a striking match for 15-minutes I don’t see how she scores tremendously unless she receives a finish. I don’t believe she’s KO power, so I think it’s purely the significant strikes and the triumph bonus which we’d be relying here. I would rather have a fighter with a chance to finish or who is more likely to grapple. That is exactly why Kondo is my fade of this week.
